OEG and the Transparency Act
OEG Offshore AS is subject to the Norwegian Transparency Act and carries out annual due diligence assessments relating to human rights and decent working conditions, both in our own operations and in the supply chain.
We publish our statement annually by 30 June, in line with the requirements of the Act.
How we work
OEG is a leading provider of rental and sale of offshore cargo carrying units, with a presence at most supply bases along the Norwegian coast. The business is characterised by high delivery reliability, efficient logistics and a strong focus on health, safety and the environment (HSE).
Our due diligence assessments follow the OECD Guidelines and cover:
Internally
OEG has a well-functioning system for employee participation and whistleblowing, with safety representatives, a working environment committee and a collective agreement with Fellesforbundet. We have established routines for handling HSE deviations and reporting of misconduct in line with the Norwegian Working Environment Act.
Ethical guidelines and internal documents ensure that all employees know and comply with our requirements for human rights and working conditions. All new employees receive training in applicable regulations and our expectations under the Transparency Act.
Externally
We carry out systematic monitoring of the supply chain through internal and external audits. Suppliers in high-risk areas are followed up with inspections and follow-up activities.
We maintain an open and constructive dialogue with our suppliers and support them in their work on continuous improvement.
Right to information
Anyone has the right to request information on how OEG handles actual and potential adverse impacts on human rights and working conditions, cf. section 6 of the Transparency Act.
